July 28 Traveling Month with ParentsEventually my parents went back to Thailand. I drove them to Heathrow and just got back. It started last year, this plan. I went to Switzerland with Tik and was so impressed by its natural beauty. At that time, the only thing I thought was to give my parents a chance to experience the same thing (which is their dream.). I planned it one year in advance; I planned to take them to Switzerland and they should be staying with me for 1 month. I have never thought it would be this hectic for I didnt know my schedule as a 2nd year PhD student. Anyway, I have managed to take them to more places than they have ever dreamt of. We went to Switzerland, Spain and Southwest of England. Of all 5 weeks, we have traveled for 24 days. Of all those 24 days, I was a driver, porter, photograhper, guide and etc. Super tired but I'm happy to see them happy. For the first time in my life that I took care of my parents. For the first time, we have spent time together almost 24 hrs a day. For the first time, I learnt that I possess their characters. For the first time, I learnt about my family. The love that they have for me is the only true love of my life. March 26 Directories of My Travel SpacesAfrica none

Cities of the CotswaldBath is situated near the Cotswald, old towns, filled with cottages and churches. There are 20+ cities listed in this area. Not all of them worth visiting. I have been there in 2006 but forgot to make notes. So here is the list of cities you should visit: (all possible in one day)
Cirencester (GL7 2NW), Bibury, Bourton on the water (GL54 2BU - have lunch here), Castle Combe, Lacock (and its Abbey), Burford (OX18 4LP), Chipping Camden (GL55 6HR)
:) March 11 Exmoor National Park: Lynmounth and LyntonAfter suffering from bad quality photos management in MSN spaces for a year, I finally decide to join facebook (www.facebook.com). It is one of a kind embeding the concept of social computing. I had so much fun exploring it last night. The first two photo albums I posted on facebook are for our day trip to Exmoor national park, covering two cities: Lynmounth and Lynton. (This is the trip for Ay farewell.) It took 2.5 hours driving. On the way to Exmoor, we did stop for breakfast at Glastonbury. It was such a lovely day and everything is perfectly fine. Lynmounth is called England's Switzerland; is where rivers and sea meet with the mountains. Lynton has stunning view of valley of rocks. It's such a lovely day for all of us: Ay, Em (photographer), Dalia, Ali, James, Pete, Sab, and our chauffeurs - Hagen and Yun. Thank you everyone for all the good time together. This trip is also to test my 2 new cameras: Fuji s6500fd and Canon IXY L4. The former is great, the latter is ok with portrait but not for view or moving objects. In general, I am quite happy with them. Take a look at: http://bathac.facebook.com/album.php?aid=7687&id=853930141 http://bathac.facebook.com/album.php?aid=7678&id=853930141 ps. The only weakpoint I found in facebook is that there is no slide show function when displaying photos. Flickr is another online photo management that is very popular at the moment.
February 07 Days in GermanyIt took one full day to travel from Bath to my destination. By the way, I have managed to get there.
The hotel we, Rung and I, stay is a 4-star with a bathroom that is bigger than my bedroom and it took us 5 mins at least to walk from the reception to the room. The hotel is huge. This is the most luxurios life I have had during this couple years (mostly stayed in cheap mixed-dorm hostel). I had a good stay there, mostly being a couch potato. Did go up to mountain top - Wallberg and sightsee around Targensee. It's so nice and I was lucky to get sunshine on both days.
Days in Munich are also nice. N'Dao, our lovely guide, took us around, showed us nice places and took us to the finest restaurant. The next day we went to Linderhof, King Ludwig's palace, and then Eibsee, which is the lake below the mountain top, Zugspitz. The weather was freezing with some sunshine. We took lots of photos. Shame that Rung didn't have proper shoes so she couldn't move much. Then we went to have finest German food and beer at the Augustiner near Karlsplatz...I really like food here.
The next day we went to the Residenz and sightsee the city again before heading for shopping. Of course, all I got back were food, sausages and chocolates.
Not much in Germany this time but it's best to be with friends.
What I like in Germany:
The city is clean. People are punctual, discipline and honest. Every waiter has his/her own wallet, it's very convenient to pay for food everywhere. They are all huge....So I have no question why Stephan is 189 tall.
Long for Egypt in Easter.
January 22 The Netherlands in WinterThe Netherlands, is the place where whoring and marijuana are legal or socially tolerate by its people. I would say it's cool, they're whoring 24 hrs. There used to be hundreds of windmills in this country, nowadays there are 10+ left.
It's awesome. It's superb. It's fantastic. It's fun. It's vibrant. It's unique.
May be I chose the wrong period, it's winter so it's cold, raining, windy and very humid. I got storm with wind 53 mph one day and it was quite an experience to be blown to hit walls and poles several times.
For every reason, it's one of the place that you must go visiting before you die.

January 06 Trip to Italy, New Year 2007For my 18-day trip to Italy, I have covered Rome, Florence, Pisa, Siena, Milan, Venice and Padova. Two-hour flying with EasyJet, I arrived my destination in no time. As a city, I like Rome the most. They said a lifetime is not enough for Rome, it's true. But the most vibrant city is Milan. People just love or hate Milan. Pisa is a small but nice. Siena is beautiful for its ancient buildings. Venice is spectacular but it's too touristic, travelling inside the city via vaporetto is not enjoyable if you want something quick. Walking in Venice is more fun. Padova has much more to give so it's worth spending my days there. Milan, Venice and Padova are where I was with friends which is why I really enjoy these cities. In Milan, I stayed with Karthik (an architect and designer) and Ganesh (a dentist, dancer and fashion designer). Karthik is my cool dude from Summer school. Through him, I know Ganesh and I would say that he is one of the coolest people I have ever known in my life. We had a big party at home where I also met Liliana and Carlos (from Summer school) and Shannon, a Salsa teacher, and other several cool people. We had another night out in Milan's bar with Francesco. It's cool and fun. In Padova, I stayed with Claudia, also I met her at Summer school. We had another dinner parties: one with her cute friends, Valentina, Alicia, Aliscia; and another with her sister and Luca. For all parties, I cooked Thai food (I brought ingredients from England). I am glad that all people like my food as much as I like theirs. I have learnt a lot about Indian and Italian food. Prior to this trip, I don't eat pizza and I dont drink much wine. All of my perception about Italian food have changed. Now I really enjoy the real good pizza (which I can't find anywhere else yet). I must miss it a lot. (In the photos, see some Italian ingredients n wine that I took back. I even bought a tool for cooking tiramisu - that makes sense....And I also bought one coffee machine but I dont drink coffee....) I fall in love with Italian food as well as with Italian girls... Claudia is my angel and all her friends have killing look that takes your breath away. Okay okay it's a bit exaggerated but they are all cute. Italy should be in the list of your dream destinations. I dont know how much time you have for travelling. If you have so little, you might have to prioritize them. During the year 2006, I have travelled all over UK, I would recommend London, Bath, Cambridge, Oxford, and Edinburgh. If you do enjoy UK, other destinations can be explored. I think I have enough for UK. So from now on, I will go around EU, to see and learn from travelling. Next section contains tips and brief info for travelling in Italy. ************************************************************************************************* ++ Recommended Guide Books: DK eyewitness and Let's go plus detailed map of each city ++ Recommended Itinerary Rome Day 1 Piazza Republica, Spanish steps, Piazza del Popolo (get on top), Trevi, Piazza Navona, Pantheon (must see inside), Santa Maria Maggiore (All free) Day 2 Colloseo (fee), Palentine (fee), Roman Forum, Vittorio Emanuelle II, Trajan Markets, Santa Maria in Trastevere (tram no.8) Day 3 Vatican museums (close soon, must see, featured Michaelangelo's works)(fee), St.Peter's (fee)(wanna meet Pope, go Wednesday), Castel Sant' Angelo (fee) Time left: Villa Borghese and museum (featured Bernini's sculptures) Buy Roma pass for 3-day free transportation + 2 free museums of your choice (Most of destinations are in walking distance but subway might make life easier when you are tired.) Quote Orkney & Skye August 29 Orkney & SkyeOrkney:
Another day, another tour, this time to Orkney, the Scotland's far north highlands. After 3 hrs sleeping on the coach, my first visit is at John O'Groats, it's very similar to Land's End, so I didn't pay much attention. The ferry took another 1 hr to arrive Orkney Islands, where formally belongs to Scotland but the inhabitants are independent. The attractions include Skara Brae, Scapa Flow, Stormness, Standing stones, Kirkwall cathedral and the Italian Chapel. The guide tour today is also funny, he's lovely though. What I dont like today is the coach, so crowded and too small. After 4 hrs of travelling back, I am so exhausted, then it's time to go to bed again with another new faces. PS. I got a thank note from the Indian guy who I lent an adapter last night.
Skye:
The last tour day in Inverness, I bought the tour to Skye, on the way, stopping at Eilean Donan Castle, one of the places you have to go before you die. Yes, I've been there. It's a nice castle though. THe sky is not so clear so the photo is not as seen in the travel book. Then we headed to Skye, stopped at Clan Donald Center (Armadale), visiting its beautiful garden, taking a walk on the blue and red trekking trails. Thank to PeterStorm trekking shoes I bought the other day, it helps a lot. At Skye, I also have a guide/drive named Skye McDonald (if it coincided, I dont know), she drove around the isles and showed us very stunning scenic routes, told us a lot about the places, full of information (I would say overload, she just didn't stop talking at all.), including the information about Cuillin Mountains, and Five Sisters of Kintail. On the way, we crossed to Skye by the bridge at Kyle and returned by the Kylerhea Ferry (manual operation).
In conclusion, the 3 day tours gave me quite different feelings and experiences. I cant deny that Scotland is marvelous and stunning. Its scenery is breathtaking. After 3 days, I am so exhausted and get enough. Thank you for all the fantastic guides, Alison - very funny and interactive, Stuart - polite and funny and Skye - very informative and knowleagable. This trip makes my journey in Scotland complete, both Lowlands and Highlands, spending days and nights, being with groups and alone.
Tomorrow I have to pack and prepare myself for another conference in Glasgow. Following the summer school, I'm now not just travelling, I do it with my eyes wide open. At the hostel, there are many friendly people around, but may be I dont feel like we have common ground so I dont talk much. I do miss all friends and family. Was wondering whether they feel the same. It's always better when we're together.
August 27 The next day at Loch NessJordan, an officer at the tourist hostel, recommended this tour to me. It was fantastic. I went with the DiscoverLochNess tour and my guide name is Alison, she is amazing and hillarious. We covered the places around Loch Ness and Glen Affric including the river Ness beach, view of Aldourie castle, got on the cruise to visit the Urquhart Castle, the Drumnadrochit town with the Loch Ness 2000 exhibition, stone circle, Caledonian Forest, Glen Affric with the River Affric full of ancient trees and scottish purple flowers, Loch Benevean. At the end of the trip, we even had a chance for a paddle in the 6 degree Loch water and had an English cream tea and Scone at the hotel on the way.
In addition to the places we visited, Alison, as well a driver, talked about Scottish history in a very interactive way, she let us be the part of the story, through her sense of humor, I learned that history is not that boring.
I had such a good time today. Tomorrow I have a long way to go, up super North of Scotland to the Orkney. My day in InvernessFollowing 2-week summer school in Edinburgh, I decided to finish the northern part of Scotland instead of staying in Edinburgh. It is still the Fringe there, I should have stayed, but without companion, I'd rather moved out of the place. After spending the past 2 weeks with all the people at Convivio, I can't bare being alone in the crowd.
Inverness is quite a small and peaceful town, north of Scotland, with the river Ness runs through the city. There is not much to see and do in Inverness, so I spent a couple hours walking around and took photos as well as buying day trips for the following 3 days. July 01 Closer to the Sun in Switzerland
Switzerland (Summer 2006, 20 - 29 June) I was just back from Switzerland, 10 days covering 15 cities including Geneva, Bern, Luzern, Interlaken, Grinderwald, Thun, Speiz, Lauterbrunnen, Vevey, Montreux, Lausanne, Zermatt, Brig, Engelberg and Rivaz. It's a perfect place for travelling. I covered a variety of attractions such as walking in town, excursion to mountain tops (Titlis, Jungfraujoch and Matterhorn), visiting a magnificent waterfall (Trummelbach), hiking, chilling by the lake and river (Lake Geneva, Lake Luzern, Thunersee, Brienzersee, River Rhone, River Ayre), etc. Thank you for the Summer, I have longer period each day.
In total, I spent 600 pounds inclusive of flights, 500 are of accommodations (backpackers) and transportations (for Swiss pass and excursion to mountain tops), a hundred pounds are both for Movenpick (ice cream of Switz) and food. Now I think I'm so keen of travelling in Switz in Summer. I can plan this 10 day trip to be completed in 6 days. So next year I'm gonna take Mom and Dad with me to Switz. If you want to join or want more information, you can mail me.
Please note that travelling in Switz, all you need are "money" (in CHF), hiking shoes, polarized sunglasses, sweater and sunscreen. Tips: 1. always go to mountain top in the morning (normally train starts operation at 4:00 or 5:00 morning). 2. always checking the train route and timetable, then you know on which side of the train you should sit to get the best view especially the golden route from Luzern - Interlaken - Montreux. (btw, I prefer the first half from Luzern-Interlaken to Interlaken-Montreux since I like lake more than mountain.) 3. polarized sunglasses in Switzerland is cheaper than in the Duty free shop 4. always check the opening hours of COOP and MINOR (they are big departmentstore/supermarkets), your budget depends on how cheap you can buy food. For me, the best time for travelling to Europe is during Summer. June will be ideal since the weather is nice and it's the early Summer so the price is not at its peak.
PS. I dont write detail of the trip, if you are interested, please visit Tik's webblog at http://tiiik.spaces.msn.com/ (written in Thai)
Thank you: - Tik for calling me into this trip - Greece and Cyprus embassy who didn't issue me a visa so I have to redirect route to Switz. - Myself for working so hard to earn money for this trip.
Good news: - On the departure day to Switz, I was informed that I'm accepted to a Summer school (for HCI - my PhD) in Scotland. I was on the moon. Will be there this mid August. - Today I was informed that I'm accepted to the biggest HCI conference in UK named BritishHCI2006 which will be held in London this September.
I have other two - three conferences on the way to apply this year and will also have my first Viva this week. Things should be OK.
From now on, it's gonna be a damn busy life for me. Though I dont have to work during Summer, I've got so many things regarding my PhD on the way. Next week, will have to go to London again, both for visiting people and attending HCI workshop at the UCL London. I like being busy this way, It's kinda fun for me. By the way, I will not stop travelling. It's so cool to get to different places, to have a look, to feel the lives.
See you again in my next entry. and I wish I see some of you next June for the Switzerland trip with me as your organizer. (I am also thinking about continuing to some country like Turkey or Croatia.)
May 08 Birthday trip to CornwallThis is the first stay-over-night trip with International office, we went to Cornwall covering:
- The Eden Project - The largest greenhouse in the world - in Summer season which offer stunning experience of millions of tulips and a variety of flowers
- St.Ives town - the beautiful habour town where there are world class beaches and and gardens along with cobbled streets
- Penzance - an ancient market town which has a beautiful bay
- Land's End - One of the most Britain's magnificent landmark sites with the cliffs stand above the crashing atlantic waves.
- St Michael's Mount - The rocky island crowned by a mediaval church and castle
- Jamaica Inn - The well-known hotel made famous by writer Daphne du Maurier's novel of the same name, built in mid 18 century. We have cream tea + scone + clotted cream here. Ymmy!!
This 2-day trip costs only 60 pounds exclusive of lunch and dinner. We were lucky enough to have clear bright bluish sky both Sat and Sun. It's another way to celebrate my birthday, 7th of May. So bright so clear and so joyful, thank you Jay and all friends that called and texted me today, you guys really made my day. Thank International office for such a wonderful trip, thank Tik who always accommodates me and of course be a good trip manager and cook me a fine dinner, though a bit salty today. Anyway, I love it.
They all wish me happy, I just said thank you but you know what I'm happy already when I answered the calls, when I read the texts, emails when I listened to the voicemail. So your wishes immediately come true. How great it is! I'm so gifted that I have you guys in my life. Also thanks for gifts (load of) from A+, Stavros and Dalia, late-night delivery by A+. Mwa! Mwa!
In the past, I used to expect so many things or some talks, some golden moment like blowing candle on my birthday and all people pay attention to it. Yes, I expected gifts. So sometimes I was disappointed. I would like to mark something that when I grow older, it comes the time that I stop waiting for someone to give me gifts, I'd rather bought them myself. Every small little thing that shows they're care is more precious than tangible objects I valued in the past. Now, when I have no expectation, everything I've got is priceless, and I'm happier receiving and telling myself that I have to give something in return more, to the society to the world. I don't know what happens to the others but to me this is the coming of age, which I enjoy more and more every single step I grow. "It's not the years in your life, it's lives in your years" This quote I wrote many times, I mean it and live my life to it.
When you are sad, you are alone. When you are happy and you love yourself, you enjoy it with the world. When I know this, I try to make a choice, a better one.
Mom and Dad and my family (my family including you, my reader), I thank you for all happiness and love that I had, have and will have. Happy Birthday to Me!
April 18 Easter trip to Czech and AustriaI left Bath on Apr 5th to catch the EasyJet flight at Bristol airport. The first trip ever outside UK, the first time I got fined for not carrying Railcard. :) I have no time at all to read about the destinations. The first time to join with the group that I know only 1 of 12 people. I was completely lost when I arrived Czech since I didn't know how to get to the pension. Btw, I finally made it. I was back on Apr 16th, very much tired and I slept for two days to recover from tiredness.
It's a 12-day trip to Czech and Austria with P'A and her friends: (from left: P'Jesd, P'Pui, P'Aung, P'Pol, P'Be, N'G,if, P'Su, P'Ga, P'Pat, P'Pu and P'Noi.
Every single member of the group makes this trip uniguely colorful. To me, they are real walking machines as well as photo shooting robots! Some said that it doesn't matter where you are, what matter is who you are with. It's been proven once again!
P'A in Prague Once again this trip reminds me of "six degrees of separation" (it's now 1 degree through P'A). Once again I realize that UK has the highest cost of living in EU. I've learnt many things from this journey.
I spent about 540 pounds for this trip (mostly with student entrance rate), not bad for 12 days, eating mostly good food, staying in pensions and hostels, covering almost all well-known attractions in all cities, estimated walking distance more than 100 kms.
P'Aung said there are only two types of people joining the group: one won't do it ever again and another can't never miss single trip. According to our geographic difference, I shall add the third type to your group - a hop on and off type. I hope that any of the group's future plan in the next 3 years time will be in EU, I definitely will hop on.
There are loads of stories to be told, unbelievably wonderful and stunningly beautiful cityscapes and scenary of the places I've been: in Czech - Prague, Kutna Hora, Karlovy Vary and Cesky Krumlov; in Austria - Salzburg and Vienna. I'd rather left them untold and let you imagine from seeing the photos (in the photo albums from 20060406 - 20040614). If you can notice our smile, I guess you also feel happiness inside.
February 19 A trip to BournemouthDo you believe in Fate? Some said "Do not mistake Fate with Coincidence". I dont literally know much about it but I really do believe. Some people were born just to meet and make our lives more meaningful and happier.
:) I went to Bournemouth yesterday to meet N'Lucky for the first time. The weather wasn't really bad anyway. Everything turned out right. I had a lot of fun walking along the beach, having ice cream, chatting with N'Lucky, N'May and N'Tik, taking photos. We had Subway as lunch and Japanese food for dinner.
This trip reminds me two things:
1. Being lively and joyful doesn't hurt anybody but making all people around you happy and
2. I have to work harder -> N'Lucky and N'May will be my role model.
Thank you for everything, thank you Tik for always accompanying me, thanks Nicky for giving me a chance to know the girls, thanks Willy for always be with us, thanks UK cloudy but not too windy day for a lovely walk along the beach.
I was so happy and will looking forward to seeing you guys in Bath very soon and also being on the beach with you guys this summer.
P.S. Jay, for this great opportunity of your work, take it with eyes wide open, I'll be with you always.
December 31 A trip to Scotland...and More
Five of Us..The Gang and The Vauxhall started our trip from Bath destination Scotland on 23rd of December, 6.00 AM sharp....
The first stop was York. We arrived 2 hours earlier than plan so we have time to visit York Minster and queued for bakery at Bettys Tea Room. York Minster is unbelievable.
After a while, we managed to arrive the apartment @Dalry Gait road. We did some shopping then we had our first meal at Mussel Inn Restaurant (Seafood), good taste but too small mussel size..
The next day, we explored Edinburgh, walked along the Princes Street, its main shopping street, then re-routed to walk along the Royal Mile, visit the Whisky Museum and complete our day trip at Edinburgh Castle. I have nothing to say but to confirm that you have to come visit Edinburgh for once in your lifetime. This is the most beautiful cityscapes I have ever seen.
Our next day was to discover Scotland Highland. We decided to go to Loch Lomond, drove along the Trossachs, National Park and went to Fort William and Glenfinnan, location of Harry Potter opening scene. We were so lucky that day the sky was so clear. Our breath were taken away by its stunning scenary. Oh! It's X'mas day... we celebrated X'mas in da house ... he he without Christmas tree or turkey, but E-san food instead.
Here came the boxing day, 26th Dec, when all shops gave 50%+ discount. Firstly we went to the Falkirk wheel to see the first and only rotating boat lift in the world. Damn!, the site was closed for holiday. So we just took a photo. On the way, we also drove pass the Forth Rail Bridge. We ended up shopping in Glasgow for half day. Glasgow has nothing (at all) but a shopping paradise.
Still umm..we have another dream destination for all golfers. Yes, St.Andrews. To visit this lovely university town, we had to drive up for 2 hours. St.Andrews Cathedral and Castle were ruined because of religious war. Provided that they're on the shore, they are so beautiful anyway. Last but not least we had a chance to go to St.Andrews golf court and also took a photo in front of the area that someone said Tiger Wood's mom always sits there. :) Oh..still had an hour left, then we speed up to Sterling to visit Sterling Castle, one of a not-to-miss castle. In our opinion, Sterling Castle is one-mile beauty.
On the 28th of Dec, we were in Edinburgh to cover the rest of attractions which are Calton Hill (Edinburgh Castle view), The rest of the Royal Mile, The Parliament and Holyrood Palace. And also had a few hours for shopping. he he...
Time went so fast. It's the last day in Edinburgh. Anyway, on the way back, we managed another short route to the Lake District of England, ended route at Windermere. Wow...it's so beautiful... Can't beleive that we can make it this much.. The pathway gave a feeling of riding in a Roller Coaster.
Thank you to all trip members, Karn - an excellent driver, Phu - a lovely manager, Nhum - a fine cook and Knot - a perfect planner.
There are 6 photo albums for the whole trip + 1 album for the food that we had, which I showed only a tiny bit of the total number of photos taken. The Scotland trip was started 23 of December. It has ended on 30..with 1237 photos, a thousand mile driving, costs 317.1 pounds each and each of us gains more weight at least one kilo. T T Me -> gain 3.5 kgs.
December 18 A trip to CardiffHere came the latest but not last trip to travel around UK.
We decided to visit Cardiff, the Capitol city of Wales this weekend. The first stop, we dropped by the Millenium Stadium, opened in 1999 and is the home of Welsh rugby and football. It's The largest covered stadium in Europe. Then we visited The Cardiff Castle, contains over 2,000 years of history within its walls. The Castle's austere appearance conceals an elaborate and splendid interior. We joined the guide tour for more details of each splendid room inside the castle (5.25 Quid for the tour).
Red Welsh Dragon
It's so cold and super windy today. We had lunch from Subway and ate it on high street against the wind. We were freezing, no wonder.
The Color of Cardiff's High Street P.S. Strange that there are many punks in Wales and believe me that Crape and Waffle in Thailand are very much better tasty.
After finishing meal, we walked along the high street then walked to the Civic Center, This impressive, tree-lined area of white Portland stone buildings reflects the wealth that the coal and steel industries brought to the city in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Winter Wonderland in front of the Civic Center We ended our trip by walking for more than 20 minutes to the Cardiff Bay, taking time walking around its docks and ending up having dinner at an Indian restaurant which is situated in Mermaid Quay. Good food, good taste. :) Oh...we took the bus back to the train station, I couldn't walk no more.
Catching the 19.35 train back to Bath. Dreaming of the next trip.
P.S. I miss you, wish you were here with me.

December 04 London..LondonMany places to visit...too many...in London.
Even though we departed Bath very early in the morning, we had only 5 hours in London with "daylight". It gets dark very soon in UK.
A one-day adult off-peak tube ticket, anyway, brought us to as many places as we could. And they are:
- Buckingham Palace
- St. James Park
- London Tower Bridge
- Trafalgar Square
- Big Ben and The Parliament
- Wesminster Abbey
- Soho (China Town)
- Notting Hill
- Covent Garden Market
- London Eyes
Wow!...How could we made it.
Wonderful sight @St.James Park
We had lunch @The Crispy Duck restaurant in Soho. Umm..I'm so missing fine Chinese food and this place serves such a fine Dim-sum and Lobster noodle.
So happy!
We were lucky enough to visit Tower Bridge during an "Earth from the Air" exhibition featured with hundreds of Earth landscape taken from Helicopter. And this is words of thought from the exhibition.
Give more if you get more! November 26 A trip to WellsHi..my family, friends and guests.
Today there's a trip to Wells and Wooky Hole Caves with InterStudent Office. We gathered at 9.30 (always be on time when u r in UK). By the way, the weather today is quite nice, even though it's near zero degree but there is no snow and no rain.
The city of Wells lies on the slopes of Mendip Hills. Wells is quite a small city with 10000 residents (even smaller than Bath). It's not so busy as in Bath. Wells, no doubt, has a beautiful Cathedral, one of the most beautiful examples of Early English architecture, as seen in the picture.
After we had a quick look around, here came the time for lunch. Today we're so lucky to meet two Thai women who sold Thai food and gave us a lot of Thai dishes plus "TuaPab" with lots of discount. I was so full and so glad to be Thai. Everywhere we go, we are so proud for our culture, our way of giving. Thank you for the good food. Wonder why I can't cook like this. (nearly but not the same, though)
Then we went to Wooky Hole Caves, where a river flows out of the underworld, pagan and Christian legends intermingle. Now this place is a famous place for cave diving with constant temperature at 11 degree celsius. The latest world cave-diving record was done here this year.
Besides the caves, around the area, there are amusement/playground areas which are very nice. It's suitable for kids. Ok...I'm just a kid from an old school...who wandered around.

November 13 งานลอยกระทงแบบเร่ง ลอนดอนอย่างรีบToday been to Thai temple, Wimbledon for Loy Kra Tong fest. Man, we spent five hours (cause of traffic) on the bus to arrive the temple, just to have another one hour to queue for food. Shit (sorry for the language), I didn't do anything about the festival, didn't just a second to get into the temple for praying. Then we had to hurry to London for sight-seeing, the traffic, again, kept us 1.5 hr to arrive. Having two hours for shopping, anyway, got one Esprit coat for Winter. Tired and super hungry when getting back from London.
This food costs me 7.5 pounds Can u imagine that grilled pork and 1 small pack of sticky rice here costs one pound each. You must be rich selling food in UK. Anyway, this will push me to learn how to cook diff type of food. If anyone can do, so do I. No more paying for expensive food. |
